Ready to take the plunge? Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your technique, our adult swimming programs at UNSW FAC are designed to support swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Check out the different options below.

Adult Beginner

Ideal for adults with little or no swimming experience, or those who feel anxious in the water. This class builds confidence and water safety skills through breathing, floating, and sculling techniques. You’ll also begin learning freestyle and backstroke in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Adult Intermediate

Perfect for swimmers who are confident in the water and have mastered the basics. This level focuses on refining technique and improving performance. All intermediate participants will be assessed during a class or trial session to ensure the best fit.

Adult Advanced

Designed for experienced swimmers who can comfortably swim 500–1000m per session. This class emphasizes endurance, stroke efficiency, and confidence in the water—ideal for those looking to boost fitness and lap swimming ability.
