How to Join

What should I bring?

Please bring your towel, water bottle and wear gym attire and appropriate footwear.

Can I bring a friend?

Yes, you can bring a friend. Your friend will need to sign in at reception and complete a pre-exercise questionnaire. Casual entry costs apply.

How do I use the lockers?

Lockers are free for you to use during your visit. Press Start, enter a 4 digit pin then press lock. Do the same to open it. Note – lockers are emptied every evening, do not leave your belongings in overnight.

Who can I ask if I’m not sure how to use equipment?

Please ask out friendly gym staff, if you need assistance with a piece of equipment.

What happens if I lose my membership card?

Please speak to reception regarding getting a replacement card. Fees apply.

When should I expect to see results?

Results from your fitness workouts will vary according to your goals, training routine, nutrition habits and lifestyle. For best results it is recommended to have personal training.

I am new to the gym, who can I ask for advice/tips?

If you are new to the gym, please book in for a Fitness Appraisal and Gym Induction.

Are staff trained in first aid?

All gym staff are fully qualified and and have current First Aid and CPR.

I am pregnant, is it still safe to workout?

It is recommended that you seek approval from your GP to ensure you are ok to exercise. Personal Training sessions are strongly encouraged.

Are there quiet periods during the day to attend the gym?

Peak times are: 6am-10am / 12:30-2pm /5pm-close.

Do I need to be fit, to do the group classes?

Group fitness classes are for everyone, please speak to the instructor before the classes commences to discuss your concerns.

What do I need to bring with me?

Make sure to wear appropriate gym wear and bring your towel and water bottle with you.

What should I expect in my first session?

Your PT will likely do an appraisal with you first and discuss your goals, medical history and current training routine. They will then design a program for you based on what you have discussed.

How can I choose a PT?

Our Personal Trainer profiles are available to view on the wall in the gym stretching area as well as the Personal training section of the website.

How can I book in with my PT or change my session time?

Please contact the centre or PT directly to make alternate arrangements.

I have injuries and am nervous about starting with a new PT, what should I do?

You will need to disclose all injuries to your PT during the appraisal session, also if there are activities you are not comfortable doing or increase pain advise your PT immediately and they will provide a different exercise.
